The 42k then follows the Greensand Way taking in other viewpoints including, Holmbury Hill, Pitch Hill, Raynards Hill, St Martha’s Hill and finally Newlands Corner before heading home to Shere.ĭEADLINE FOR ONLINE ENTRIES – MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY 13th SEPTEMBER Leith Hill is the highest point in the South-east of England with views north to London and south to the English Channel. The 42k heads off to Leith Hill Tower via Wotton Hatch and Friday Street with stunning vista along all routes. The 42k starts and finishes in the beautiful village of Shere, the route out of the village is a steep one up onto the North Downs Way. The 42k has varying elevation but with great views over the North Downs and Surrey Hills. The 21k follows the same route as the 42k out of Shere until the junction with Park Farm where it turns left to loop back onto the North Downs via Coomb Farm where it eventually picks up the same route you came along onto the north Downs back to Shere and the finish line. From there it’s back up a small incline to retun back to the start via the same route you came up on. The 10k route heads north out of the Shere Recreation Ground (123m ascent) levelling out along Drove Road, through Oaken Grove and joining a trail that leads down to the Sawmill at Honeysuckle Bottom. We believe this is one of the most stunning trail runs in the south-east of England.
